I’m a Bafta winning, ASC nominated cinematographer, based out of Camden Town in London - with British and Irish (EU) passports. 

I’m Northern Irish and grew up in Belfast which is why I sound funny. After school, I had a heady stint in the music industry living in NYC and touring the world, before my passion for film saw me return to the UK, enrolling on Lord Puttnam’s ‘Jobfit’ trainee course - a terrible acronym for an amazing scheme, and ultimately a great way into the film industry. Those early years as a trainee and camera assistant were hugely formative, the highlight being the time spent with Barry Ackroyd on feature films and documentaries across the globe.

My early days as a dop included shooting Martin McDonagh’s first film - the Oscar winning short “Six Shooter”. I’ve shot extensively in commercials, music videos, and documentaries, but narrative is my first love and home. I have also worked as a lighting designer for Secret Cinema and you can see a selection of my stills work on Instagram.

Away from film, I have a home overlooking the English Channel, where i spend a lot of time looking at the sea, engaged in sea based activities, talking about the sea, meditating about the sea - you get the gist. I come from a family of boat builders.

I’ve forged some great friendships and collaborations in this crazy industry, and have been blessed to work with directors like Martin McDonagh, Rufus Norris, Marc Evans, Michael Dinner and Zetna Fuentes to name a few.
